Enrosept injection solution 5% and 10%

Энросепт

Description:

Enrosept injection solution 5% and 10% is an antimicrobial product in injection solution form containing 50 and 100 mg of enrofloxacin per ml, correspondingly, as the active ingredient and accessory ingredients. Enrosept injection solution 5% and 10% is a transparent yellowish liquid.

Pharmacological properties:

Enrofloxacin, the active ingredient of Enrosept, possesses a broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, among which Escherichia, Salmonella, Pasteurella, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Klebsiella, Pseudomonas, Bordetella, Campylobacterium, Closthridium, Corynebacterium and Mycoplasma. Enrosept is active against agents resistant to tetracyclines, aminoglycosides, macrolids, chroramphenicol, sulfanylamides and trimethoprim. Enrosept inhibits the enzyme DNA-gyrase essential to bacterial DNA replication, thus causing cell death. It is rapidly imbibed at the site of injection and distributes in tissues and organs, achieving the therapeutic concentration that is maintained for 24 hours. The product is eliminated with urine. Enrosept has a low toxicity in mammals.

Enrosept must not be used in combination with bacteriostatic antibiotics (tetracyclines, macrolids, chloramfenicol), theophylline or steroids.

Dosage and use:

Enrosept injection solution is administered to animals with respiratory, gastrointestinal and urinogenital disorders caused by bacteria and mycoplasmas (colidiarrhoea, colisepticaemia, pasteurellosis, staphylococcosis, mycoplasmosis, closthridiosis, enzootic pneumonia, MMA syndrome, campylobacteriosis etc.) and can be used for the treatment of infected wounds. The product is used in cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, cats and dogs.

Enrosept injection solution 10% is administered via percutaneous route to cattle and intramuscularly to pigs, at the dose of 0.25 ml or 0.5 ml, in case of salmonellosis or respiratory diseases, per 10 kg of weight daily for 2 to 3 days or for 5 days in case of salmonellosis.

Enrosept injection solution 5% is administered percutaneously to calves, sheep and goats or intramuscularly to piglets at the dose of 1 ml per 20 kg of weight and percutaneously to cats and dogs at the dose of 1 ml per 10 kg of weight.
