Bacillus anthracis can be detected using PCR. The specific DNA fragment is amplified millions of times, which allows visualization of the results using electrophoresis in agarose gel.
The presence or absence of DNA of the Siberian plague causative agent in the sample is assessed by electrophoresis.
The test system allows differentiation between Bacillus anthracis and the so called non-typical bacteria, not pathogenic in man and animals.
