Kit for detection of carnivore adenovirus antigens using ELISA

The kit is designed for detection of specific carnivore adenovirus (CAV) antigens in blood, faeces and urine samples and nasal or pharyngeal swabs obtained from sick animals and in organ samples from dead animals.

The kit consists of 4 specific biological components, 6 non-specific chemical components and a 96-well polystirol plate.

The kit contains sufficient reagents to perform 45 screening tests (i.e. 2 repeats) or 11 titration tests (dilutions 1:2 to 1:256) and can be used fractionally.

Total assay run time: 3-3,5 hours.

The assay is based on the interaction between an antigen and an antibody pre-coated on the polystirol plate. The resulting complex is detected with an antispecies peroxidase conjugate. Once bound, the peroxidase catalyzes oxidation of hydrogen peroxide, a component of the chromogenic substrate solution, and oxidation of the chromogen. Colour develops if the sample is positive.

Kits are stored in a dark place at a temperature between 2 and 8°C and should not be frozen.
