The kit is designed for detection of antibodies to porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS) virus in sera of vaccinated and unvaccinated animals using ELISA.
The kit contains sufficient reagents to test 46 samples (2 repeats) and 2 control samples (2 sera). The design of the kit allows fractional utilization.

| Principle of the action: |
| Метод основан на взаимодействии иммобилизованного на поверхности лунок планшета рекомбинантного белка вируса РРСС (rN) со специфическими антителами из исследуемой пробы сыворотки и последующем выявлении полученного комплекса конъюгатом (меченными пероксидазой хрена специфическими антителами к IgG свиньи). Связанная пероксидаза вызывает разложение находящейся в хромоген-субстратном растворе перекиси водорода и окисление хромогена. В лунках развивается окраска, интенсивность которой прямо пропорциональна количеству антител в определяемой пробе. |
| Principle of the assay: |
The antigen-antibody complex between specific antibodies to PRRS virus in the sample and the PRRS recombinant protein ('rN') pre-coated in the wells is adsorbed on the plate surface and detected by peroxidase marked anti-swine IgG. If the sample contains virus-specific antibodies, the conjugate interacts with the antigen-antibody complex, and colour develops upon addition of chromogen-substrate solution. Colour development is directly proportional to the amount of specific antibodies in the sample.

The kit is stored at a temperature between 2 and 8°C and at not more than 80% relative humidity. The components must not be frozen.
