Cyperyl possesses a broad-spectrum insecticidal and acaricidal activity. Cypermethrin, the active ingredient of Cyperyl, changes membrane permeability, blocking sodium channels, thus causing a quick death of the insect.
Cyperyl belongs to class 3 of hazardous substances.

Cyperyl is used in cattle, sheep, pigs, camels, horses, reindeer, dogs, cats and other carnivores for defence against ticks, blood-sucking diptera, stable flies, botflies and gnats, and in the prevention and treatment of psoroptosis, malophagosis, haematopinosis and sarcoptosis. Cyperyl is used externally at the following doses:
- Cattle: 50-500 ml of 0.005-0.0125% emulsion per animal for defence against ticks, stable flies and blood-sucking diptera; 2l per animal for the treatment of psoroptosis.
- Sheep: 1.5-4 l of 0.0125 water emulsion per animal for the treatment of psoroptosis, malophagosis and siphunculatosis; alternatively, the animals can be bathed in 0.005% emulsion twice at an interval of 10 to 12 days.
- Pigs, camels ad horses: 0.5-2 l of 0.0125% emulsion per animal for pigs or 3-5 l per animal for camels and horses for the prevention and treatment of sarcoptosis, siphunculatosis and porcine haematopinosis.
- Cats, dogs, polar foxes, foxes and other carnivores: 0.2-1 l of 0.0125% emulsion per animal for protection against ticks, itch, lice and fleas.
- Disinfection and desacarinization of pens: 100-200 ml/m2 in the absence of animals.
Working emulsions are prepared immediately before use in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
The withdrawal period is 15 days.
