Hypodectin-S is applied in a thin jet along the animal’s spine from a dosing device at the dose of 10 ml per animal. For specific prophylaxis of hypodermatosis all animals should be treated with Hypodectin-S by the end of the botfly season (end of September) and in spring upon appearance of the first larvae on the animal’s back. The product should not be applied onto wet skin or areas covered with muck, and animals newly treated with Hypodectin-S should not be kept outdoors in rainy, snowy or frosty weather.
The withdrawal period is 5 days. Milk from animals treated with Hypodectin-S may be used for food without restriction.
Minor turbidity may be observed at temperatures below 0oC.
