Troncyl

Troncyl is an antihelmintic product in pill form used in dogs containing 50 mg of praziquantel, 144 mg of pyrantel embonate, 150 mg of febantel and accessory ingredients.

Troncyl is active against all developmetal stages of nematodes and tapeworms Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina, Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma caninum, Тrichuris vulpis, Echinococcus granulosus, Echinococcus multilocularis, Dipylidium caninum, Taenia spp., Multiceps multiceps, Mesocestoides spp. The active ingredients of Troncyl suppress enzymatic activity, increase membrane permeability for mono- and divalent cations and carbohydrates, disrupt the tunica and disturb muscle contraction, thus causing paralysis and death of the helmintes, which are eliminated with faeces.

Troncyl is administered to dogs aged 6 months upwards for protection against ascarids and other nematodes, tapeworms and whipworms at the following doses:

No special diet should be observed before treatment. The product is administered by force feeding or in feed. For prophylaxis, the product is administered every 3 months at the treatment dose.

The product is not recommended for use in combination with piperazine or in females during the first two thirds of pregnancy.
