Inactivated comined vaccine against infectious rhinotrachaeitis, viral diarrhea , parainfluenza 3 and leptospirosis in cattle TAURUS
Description:
TAURUS vaccine is prepared from attenuated cultural strains of viruses of infectious rhinotrachaeitis, viral diarrhea, parainfluenza 3 and inactivated productive strains of Leptospiras of serological groups Pomona, Tarassovi, Grippotyphosa, Sejroe.
The vaccine contains two components:
- Freeze-dried – against cattle infectious rhinotrachaeitis, viral diarrhea, parainfluenza 3 (TAURUS-V vaccine) (dry homogeneous porous mass with yellowish colour).
- Liquid – against leptospirosis of cattle (TAURUS-L vaccine) (colourless liquor with grayish-white precipitate on a vial bottom, easily resuspended in homogeneous suspense after shaking).
The liquid component is used as diluent for freeze-dried one. If TAURUS-V vaccine is used alone, special diluent is added.

Indications for use:
The vaccine is used for prevention of cattle infectious diseases and creation of stable safe situation with infectious rhinotrachaeitis, viral diarrhea, parainfluenza 3 and leptospirosis of cattle in farms. Only clinically healthy animals should be subject to vaccination.

Vaccination method:
Before usage of TAURUS vaccine dry (virus-containing) component is diluted with liquid (lepotospira-containing) one. If the farm is stable safe in leptospirosis only virus-containing (TAURUS-V) component can be used. In the case dry component is diluted with sterile diluent according to doses number – 2 ml of the diluent to 1 vaccine dose. TAURUS-L vaccine can be used for prevention of leptospirosis alone. TAURUS vaccine is administered intramuscularly in dose of 2 ml in animals older than 3 months. Cows and heifers are vaccinated twice with the interval of 21 days, second time not less than 2 weeks before insemination, and revaccinated one time yearly. TAURUS-V vaccine can be injected also subcutaneously. Pregnant cows and heifers vaccinated before insemination with TAURUS-V vaccine, are revaccinated twice with COMBOVAC or COMBOVAC-P vaccines with doses of 3 ml: first time in 40-50 days before parturition, second time - 14-21 days before parturition. TAURUS-L vaccine is administered to calves from 1.5 months age once intramuscularly in dose of 1 ml. Calves in age before 12 months are revaccinated in each 6 months with the same dose, than once a year with dose 2 ml. Cows and heifers are vaccinated before insemination or in first 2-3 weeks after insemination once with dose 2 ml and revaccinated in 1.5-2 months before parturition with the same dose.
