Globulin against panleukopenia, infectious rhinotrachaeitis, calicivirosis and chlamydiosis in cats Globfel-4

Globfel-4 contains gamma- and beta-globulin fractions isolated from bovine, equine or goat sera obtained from animals hyperimmunized with antigens of panleukopenia virus, virus of infectious rhinotrachaeitis, feline calicivirus and feline chlamydias. The product is a transparent colourless or pale yellow slightly opalescent liquid.

Globfel-4 is used for prophylactic immunization of clinically healthy domestic cats and wild feline animals. The therapeutic effect is most pronounced at the early stage of the illness. Precipitate may sometimes form upon storage and should break easily if shaken.

Globfel-4 is safe and non-reactogenic. Passive immunity in animals treated for prophylactic purposes lasts up to two weeks. After the expiry of this period, vaccination should be carried out to produce active immunity.

Globfel-4 is administered percutaneously. For the prevention of viral infections, the product is administered at the dose of 1,0 cm³ to animals weighing less than 10 kg and at the dose of 2,0 cm³ to animals weighing more than 10 kg.

Fro therapeutic purposes, Globfel-4 is administered percutaneously at the indicated doses 2 to 4 times at 12- to 24-hour intervals depending on severity.

The product may sometimes cause slight soreness at the site of injection. It is suggested that the product should be used as part of symptomatic treatment, including treatment with antibiotic, probiotic and vitamin products.

The product should be used in accordance with aseptic and antiseptic rules.

A slight temperature rise or allergic reactions may be induced by the administration of the product.

To avoid this, it is recommended that an antihistamine (dimedrol, suprastin, tavegyl, diprazin etc.) be administered to the animals via parenteral route 10 to 15 minutes before administration of Globfel using the standard technique.

Globfel-4 is available in 1 cm³ vials (1 dose).
