Vaccine against Aujezsky's disease and erysipelas in Swine

Description:

The vaccine contains either oily adjuvant or aluminum hydroxide.

Indications for use:

The vaccine is used in farm units affected or threatened by Aujezsky's disease or porcine erysipelas.

Clinically sick or suspicious Swine, as well as growth- or developmentally retarded young Swine should not be subject to vaccination.

Vaccination method:

The product is administered singly via intramuscular route in the neck region just behind the ear at the following doses:

  • piglets aged 45 days to 4 months: 1 cm3;
  • adult animals: 2 cm3;
  • Sows: 1,5-2 months before farrowing.

Swine vaccinated before the age of 4 months are revaccinated after 6 months at the dose of 2 cm3.

The commercial dose is 2 cm3.

Immunity:
P >Immunity to Aujezsky's disease develops within 7 to 10 days after immunization and lasts 6 months.

Immunity to erysipelas develops within 25 days after immunization and lasts more than 6 months.

Formulation:

The vaccine is available in 100 cm3 vials (50 doses).

Shelf life:

18 months if kept in a dark dry place at a temperature between 2 and 10°С.
